The Rustic Dude
The Rustic Dude is a woodworking business that needed an online portfolio to showcase their handcrafted products. The challenge was creating a visually appealing showcase that the business owner could manage independently without technical knowledge. I built a React application with a clean, gallery-style frontend and a hidden admin panel that allows the owner to add, edit, and remove products from the display. Firebase handles image storage, product data, and authentication for the admin route. The result is a self-sufficient portfolio that the client manages on their own.

The Rustic Dude is a woodworking company that needed a professional online presence to showcase their handcrafted products and attract new customers.
Problem
The business owner had no way to display their growing catalog of handmade woodworking products online. They needed a solution that looked professional but was simple enough for a non-technical person to manage and update.
Approach
I developed a dual-purpose React application with a public-facing portfolio and a secure admin interface:
- Gallery-Style Portfolio with responsive image grids and product details
- Hidden Admin Route with authentication for product management
- CRUD Operations allowing the owner to add, edit, and remove products
- Firebase Storage for image uploads and product data persistence
- SASS Styling for custom, craftsmanship-inspired design
Result
Delivered a portfolio site that the client has been managing independently since launch, regularly updating their product catalog without any developer assistance. The site effectively showcases their craftsmanship and serves as their primary digital storefront.
